Dave Hackford has just had confirmation that Moroccan PWA competitor and renowned daredevil Boujmaa Guilloul will be flying into the UK for National Windsurfing Festival this weekend – Sept 4th-5th
Boujmaa is one of the youngest competitors on the circuit and joined the PWA world tour as a youth. He is a radical and inspirational sailor with a huge following on his local beach at Moulay in Morocco.
He plays a key role in the development of the wave and freestyle kit from Starboard and Severne – so if you have any questions on equipment, he can answer them. Undoubtedly the biggest impact will be the opportunity to see such a flamboyant sailor in action, and listen to a few tales from around the World. This is his very first visit to England – let’s make it a memorable one for him.
Saturday: 11.30am arrival at the NWF Hayling Island.
12-2pm present on the Starboard stand in the main marquee.
3pm – On the water session – weather permitting
4pm: Oceansource stand
Later: On stage interview with Peter Hart (schedule to be confirmed by Allan Cross)
Sunday:
10.30am: A dedicated and exclusive technique clinic for T-15 sailors only. George Shillito will be presenting a very special clinic with Boujma. Just 45 minutes.
Later: Session on the water
Monday: If the conditions are good, a trip to a ‘working’ location for a real taste of British sailing.
