Something a little different, that may inspire. Diana Robbins from Dart Designs has come up with an ingenious way of putting a little bit of extra life into those old cloth sails…
These designer windbreaks have an abstract theme inspired by yacht and windsurfing sail shapes, hand built from both recycled and new sailcloth. What better material to use for this purpose than sailcloth? A high quality material designed for use in the elements. Strong, durable and lightweight with excellent resistance to tear and abrasion, water and ultraviolet sunlight. Beautiful colours, with the recycled sailcloth taking on a particularly attractive weathered patina.
Individually hand built in Devon, with meticulous attention to detail and quality. No two are the same. Unique, individual and beautiful, incorporating original nautical features of the sail, e.g. baton pockets, telltales, marine stitching and sail and number insignia.
