It would appear that Neil Pryde have released the sail that will be used by the world’s elite at this summer’s Olympics…
A photo shared by British Olympian Nick Dempsey shows the RS:X sail in it’s rather snazzy new colourway. Nick took home a bronze for the UK at the Athens games and was, some say, robbed of a medal at Beijing 2008, still managing to finish in an incredible 4th. Will the mens ‘salmon’ coloured sail finally propel Nick into gold medal position? Fingers crossed.
The Olympians will take to the waters of Weymouth from the 30th July until the 7th August and battle it out to take home the gold for their country. Let’s hope the home advantage will give Nick and his team-mate Bryony Shaw the edge they need to dominate.
We want to know what you think of the return to such ‘eighties-esque’ sail design, so post your comments below.
