The UK Windsurfing Association have combined forces with the importers to give everyone the opportunity to compete in a series of simple off-the-beach Master-Blaster races irrespective of age, gender or sailor ability. The series will be held during UKWA national slalom competitions, with each event offering:
- PRIZES FOR MANY DIFFERENT CATEGORIES: pre 85, pre millennium equipment and even a fancy dress prize!
- OPEN TO ANYONE ON ANY KIT (excluding competitors in UKWA slalom)
- SIMPLE “ROUND THE BUOY” FORMAT
- SAIL NUMBERS & UKWA MEMBERSHIP NOT NECESSARY

Nearly 400 windsurfers of all abilities enjoyed a superb weekend at the Fat Face Windsurfing Festival last September thanks to spectacular “off the beach, round the buoy” Master Blaster racing. For ’07 the UKWA are building on this successful format: the tour kicks off with the Tushingham Slalom Cup on the 24/25 March at Beachlands,
If you can sail planing in a straight line there’s no excuse not to race but if you feel that one gybe really is one too many, then why not join The F2 Speed Gun Challenge instead – see how fast you really are! The super-keen can even join in both disciplines.
For the first event, Andy Biggs Windsurfing and Tushingham Sails have teamed up over the weekend to display the latest Tushingham/Starboard Demo kit which will be available to test.
