KEITH KICKS OFF IN CORNWALL

KEITH’S KICK START TO THE SEASON

Keith Atkinson made an impressive start to the UKWA Formula race series at Marazion in Cornwall.

The event was blessed with glorious sunshine although the wind didn’t show until the last day of Easter weekend, 7-12 knots of shifty and gusty offshore winds was delivered and made for some thrilling racing.

Excellent commentary from the beach was provided for great entertainment for the crowds and a better understanding of what was happening on the water.

Keith spent the week before the event preparing and tuning his equipment with some on-water training. He also set aside some time to travel the local areas and appreciate the beauty of Cornwall – the coastline of Cornwall is amongst Keith’s favourite places so he felt very comfortable and positive as he entered this event.

Keith’s closest competitor was Xavier Ferlet in 2nd position followed by Nick Deverall finishing in a well deserved 3rd just pipping Dan Simpson (on equal points), Dan celebrated his first national race win during the event.
