BJORN PRESENTS WINDTEK TEAM 15 AWARDS

Windtek of Weymouth’s successful Team 15 finished the summer with a flourish.

An evening where members were invited to bring along a friend to introduce to Windsurfing, a BBQ and then a prize giving which Bjorn Dunkerbeck kindly attended to hand over the awards.

Bjorn in the vicinity for speed week seemed stoked to see such an enthusiastic bunch of young windsurfers. He commented that starting at such a young age meant that they would improve rapidly and pointed out how lucky they were to sail at such a fantastic venue as Portland Harbour. He then handed over the trophies to Will Rowles – racer of the year, Andy Glover – freestyler of the year and the final trophy which was kindly donated by local sailor and Olympic Medalist Nick Dempsey to Oscar Carmicheal, most improved windsurfer of the year.

Windtek`s School will be open all winter for all your coaching needs no matter what your age.
