BWA Wales – Live From Day 4

Sorry for the late start this morning, we’ve had some technical issues which are hopefully now resolved.  Today we have some really nice Starboard tack conditions, with nearly side shore riding at the top of the bay and head high waves.  Wind is 5.0m – 5.3.

14:22 – Ladies result – Amanda Beanen did just enough to fend off the charge of Sarah Kellott.  So overall results are Beanen 1st, Kellott 2nd, Sneidy 3rd

14:21 – And it seems it’s too light as the competition gets put into postponement again….

14:17 – They are desperately trying to finish the amateurs off, but its looking extremely light, with the riders pumping just to get their jump in…

13:45 And its clear that I dont know, because its back up again and the amateurs are on their way again!  With the tide out its looking more onshore now…

13:31 – Sorry guys, the connection here is about as reliable as the wind today….so the wind has dropped now and everything has been postponed.  It’s not looking too hopeful, but you never know…

12:44 – We have the ladies super final now – Kellott vs Beanen.  This is a biggy as the 17 year old takes on the seasoned PWA pro.  She’s beaten her once today, but she has to do it twice to win overall…

12:41 – MacDowall and Barrat make it through in that 4 man heat.

12:27 – We have had some excitement in the ladies fleet as 17 year old Bigbury sailor, Sarah Kellott has forward looped and ridden her way right through the final, where she has now beaten PWA competitor Amanda Beanen – so a double elimination super final between those two will decide the overall winner in a few heats time

12:24 – So picking up with the Amateur Double elimination…
