With the nights drawing in and the winter breezes blowing we cannot escape the fact christmas is just around the corner. Our top tip? Take advantage of the holiday period by sneaking a couple of these must winter must haves onto your christmas list.

Another way of upgrading the feel of your set up is to invest in a new extension, especially the North Uni.XT Shox extensions (various £). North have incorporated an even better rigging system into their new version of the Shox extensions, as well as improving the state of the art suspension system used within every extension. The feeling when sailing is just incredible, why not have a go yourself?
The Maui Hookup (£19.99) is one of the best tools around for aiding that tricky task of getting on the last bit of downhaul. There’s a lot of tools about for this particular job, however the Maui Hookup won’t jam, slip or chew up your downhaul rope – sounds good to us!

You no longer need to head to a specific speed competition to record the fast times, just strap on your Genie GT 31, find the flattest, windiest spot you can and go for broke! Radz mast bases are a great gift too; we’re sure many of us don’t, but having a spare UJ around is always useful. Coming in rubber, tendon or knuckle these Radz bases are probably the most competitively priced on the market.
