EASY BOOM FITTING – Leon Jamaer had a good trick: he put the downhaul through the pullies and semi-downhauled the sail, but then attached the boom before the final tensioning of the downhaul. This makes it a lot easier to fit the boom without tension in the luff cut out, particularly if you have a fiddly boom clamp.
