By getting yourself set before the entry you have bought yourself a bit more time and have a little less to do. I’s now time to turn the board towards the wind and maintain maximum speed.
• Look upwind
• Start to carve by digging through the heels, ( when the back foot comes out is key, this may be before you start the carve or as you turn into wind depending on speed and wind strength)
• Push your body forwards as the rig gets driven back
• Last move is straight from the front strap to wrapping the front foor round the mast foot.
*Top Tips – In lighter winds bring the back foot out earlier and move it further up the board to keep it flat front to back.
Leave the back hand behind the harness lines to maintain power and speed.
