The flaka is one of the eased freestyle manoeuvres to learn on a Turfdog, with an incredibly similar movement.
Max Rowe:
1. The flaka is performed on a very broad reach. Start by moving your back-hand down the boom and spreading your hands. Then sheet in with your rear hand carving away from the wind and leaning the rig forward and to the inside.
2. Once off the wind flatten the board out whilst projecting the rig forward and in front of you.
3. Once the board is flattened and the rig is in a central position. Initiate the pop, still projecting the ring in front of you, remembering not to sheet out with the back-hand.
4. Slide around with the nose of the board, still sheeted in with the back hand and projecting weight forward and on top of the sail.
5. Continue as above. The end of this manoeuvre is very similar to the upwind 360. Guide the clue though the wind bending your knees.
6. Lean the sail back slightly.
7. Continue sailing across the wind.
8. Now your ready to try a second flaka as in the short clip.
