SOLARPATCH is a UV curing pre-impregnated fibre reinforced composite. It’s a single component material that can be applied without previous mixing and drying effecting fast and easy emergency repairs. As long as it is not exposed to sunlight, it will not cure; thus allowing the user to apply it directly onto any composite object be it a surf board, windsurf board, boat, canoe or kayak. Once it is exposed to direct sunlight, curing occurs in just a few minutes; providing a high quality, strong and load bearing repair.

The resin is compatible with nearly all materials that may be found in a composite board or boat (FRC polyester or epoxy, polystyrene or polyurethane foam, etc.). A satin glass fibre fabric is used, which is very malleable thus enabling complex shapes to be repaired.
