WINDFEST – In Association with Flexifoil and RipCurl

The annual Windfest event will be taking place on 2nd and 3rd October on the
English Riviera. Celebrating the growth of extreme sports, Windfest will as
usual be providing a safe, informative and fun atmosphere for everyone to
enjoy.

Taking place on Paignton Green, right on the seafront, events will consist
of windsurfing, kiteboarding, kites, buggies, mountain boards, skateboarding
and much, much more. Not only will the experts be showing off their skills,
such as on the long skateboard slalom event (designed by Lush), but also
Windfest as usual offer beginners the chance to participate themselves
without the pressure of feeling embarrassed.

There will be a trade village set up where top manufacturers will be
displaying their wares; Flexifoil will be showing off their range of kites
including the new Storm 3; Trampa will be demoing mountain boards on a small
ramp with a “try before you buy” option; RipCurl will be giving a taster of
next year’s ranges; Kio will have some new boards on show. And that’s just
scratching the surface!

A hog roast and beer lorry will be present throughout the day should you
need to eat and drink, and in true Windfest style a couple of parties have
been arranged so that you can enjoy the atmosphere to the full. Inn On The
Green, Paignton, will be hosting a get together on the Friday night (1st
Oct) to start the weekend off, and on the Saturday night the party will move
across the road to the Light House for an 8pm start until late.

Ron Smith, the event organiser, said: “Windfest is about new people, both
young and old, getting into the different sports we have on show. This will
be the third year we have held Windfest in Paignton and it is the perfect
venue to showcase the event as the town attracts people of all different
ages.”
