Weymouth Boardsailing Club are holding their one remaining and most popular
event of the year… the ANNUAL HARBOUR DASH.
Starting at 11:00 from Overcombe Corner, Weymouth on Sunday 29th August, the
event is a 6 mile open sea dash across Weymouth Bay, into Portland Harbour
and back.
The record, of 18minutes 35secs, set 10 years ago, by Adrian Bugler still
remains unbroken!!
The course favours boards that can sail comfortably both upwind and down,
and whilst only 6nmls long it has been known to take over 3 hours in very
light conditions!
The competition is open to all competent windsurfers and makes for a great
way to spend the Bank Holiday Sunday!
