THE WINDSURFING NEWSLETTER Issue #31 – December 2004 |
Raceboard Class – Revised Logo and Revised Rules The International Raceboard Class (IRC) is undergoing a transformation – the introduction of revised Class Rules in the New Year and with it a new logo http://www.raceboard.org/ |
Aloha Update – December 2004 Visit the Aloha Website for important news regarding the board, rig, and more for the 2005 season and beyond. It’s all good news! http://aloha.internationalwindsurfing.com/ |
National Association Annual Class Fees The IWA Executive (Class Representatives) met on 4 December when it was agreed that IWA would no longer use the ISAF 3 tier membership classification . Also, now that IMCO is no longer an Olympic Class, it would be inappropriate to charge a higher rate for this Class. Now, we have one flat rate for all – Eur 160 for FW, IFCA, IMCO and Raceboard; Eur 80 for Aloha and MJOD. Naturally some Associations will be delighted to see that their subscriptions have actually decreased! Sadly, others will see an increase, but it is time to introduce a system that is simpler to administer and fairer to all. Invoices will be circulated in the very near future. |
RACING RULES 2005 – 2008 The Fun Board Racing Rules no longer exist!!!! They have been replaced by Racing Rules of Sailing 2005-2008 (and relevant appendices) available to download from the ISAF website http://www.sailing.org/default.asp?MenuID=j0~wGX28zoNPPf6xvTv~`KY1RDKcuv1iAcdT |
SPA Regatta SPA Regatta organisors have decided to both allow the new and old Olympic board at the 2005 SPA Regatta to ensure all have the opportunity to compete. In 2006 we will allow only the Olympic board. IWA comment: ‘we hope the other Eurolymp will follow this logical decision’ |
