SAVE MIDDLES T-SHIRTS

The lifestyle fashion label Ka Moana and Save Middles are fighting together to save Middles, one of Europe´s best wave spots. Ka Moana has designed in cooperation with Save Middles an exclusive protest-shirt, which you can buy here for 15 €.

Through buying a shirt you can support the donations action and become someone who saves Middles. The earnings from the selling goes directly to Save Middles, who need the money to prove that the spot is unique and should be preserved.

The money collected will be used to pay for hiring external specialists. The organisation has made a contact with the engineering company NIRAS. Right now NIRAS is working on suggestions and proposals for a way of developing the Hanstholm Harbour in a way that also in the future will include kitesurfing, windsurfing and surfing at the Middles.

The conflict springs from the plans recently developed by the Hanstholm City Council (Hanstholm Kommune) and Viborg County (Viborg Amt). These authorities are intending the completion of the regional plan amendment number 8. Giant wind mills, coast protection and aqua culture farming at Hanstholm Harbour.

If this project is realized in its presently intended form, the consequence will be that not only the City of Hanstholm but Denmark in general will lose an extraordinarily valuable natural resource with many possibilities for the future.
