Our spies have just alerted us to the fact that Kauli Seadi has been secretly practising hard for the London Indoor Windsurfing Jump championships – he’s built his own jump ramp and has been using it on a lake in Brazil. This should in theory increase his chances 100%, as he’ll be really comfortable with the general business of lining up on that ramp, which is a pretty terrifying thing anyway; aiming your board at a 6″ wide slot while sailing at full speed. However, there are a few significant differences between the indoor and outdoor environments – there’s much less lateral drift when sailing outdoors, for example. And of course, when jumping indoors, there is absolutely no wind whatsoever once you’re in the air at the top of the ramp. So – will it ultimately improve his chances? Better get along to the show next weekend and find out!
