Top British Slalom Windsurfer Dan Ellis signs to Naish International
Since joining the Naish UK team midway through last year, Dan Ellis
has recorded one of his best years ever, which included winning his
first PWA in Sotavento and being named UKWA ‘Windersurfer of the
Year’. His talent, determination and positive personality, shown over
this time, haven’t gone unnoticed and have now led to Dan being
invited to join Naish on the International Windsurfing team, and join
a team which includes the likes of 2005 PWA World Wave Champion Kauli
Seadi.
On receiving the invitation Dan commented, “Moving up onto the Naish
International team is a great step that will give me the backing I
need to fight for the top world rankings. Last year was amazing and a
lot of that was due to getting on the Naish Stealths and having a tool
that really does what it says on the tin. Naish has proven race and
speed sails and now all I have to do is clip them onto my boards and
keep winning races. I’m also very much looking forward to being
involved with the testing and development of new sails.”
News of Dan joining Naish International comes as he sets off to
compete in the Philippines & Saipan to defend his 2005 Asian
Windsurfing Tour Title. If 2006 is anything like the last six months,
Dan will be well on his way to achieve his personal goals of becoming
one of the top racers in the world.
