SAS GUERNSEY SEWAGE COUNTER HITS 100 MILLION GALLONS!

SAS GUERNSEY SEWAGE COUNTER HITS 100 MILLION GALLONS!

At 9:30am today the Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) Guernsey Sewage Counter
passed the 100 million gallon mark. This is the amount of raw sewage and
wastewater that has been discharged into Guernsey waters since SAS finished
its 60-hour vigil on the 25th January 2006.

With only a week left before the end of the public consultation (the 28th
February) on the Sewage Green Paper, SAS is calling on the public to make
their voice heard by signing the SAS petition for full sewage treatment. A
new campaign film following our exploits during the vigil can also be viewed
at the same time as signing the petition. Click on the following link to

Today has also seen SAS submit its full comments to the States on the
contents of the Green Paper. A copy of our comments is attached here.

SAS will be presenting our petition to the States at the end of the public
consultation. Full details will be announced nearer the time.
