Our own Duncan Slater hammering down the course. Close, but no cigar…
F2 SPEED CHALLENGE
The first F2 Speed Challenge of the year took place at Solent Sailboards on the 13th May. The forecast was not great but with a good turn out the wind kicked in just in time. The early leaders were Mike Coombes and Nick Scott, then Duncan Slater flew down the course on his run to take an impressive lead. In the ladies Heather Pitchford did some great runs and in the end she came flying down the course with a speed of 23 mph and a dismount to upstage any World Cup star. In the event, however, it was a team that had travelled to the event together who stole the show. Nigel Spriggs and Tony Attfield took the honours with a speed of 30 mph.
