The Alan Tolson Memorial Classic

Stithians lake, nr Redruth Sunday 16th July 2006 – Raising funds for the Local Cancer Unit and the RNLI.

Organised by Peter @ Westcountry Watersports, this is a windsurfing race in
its simplest form – you only have to be able to sail across the wind and
turn around. Two buoys are laid across the wind – all you have to do is see
how many laps you can do in the space of just one hour!

The event hopes to raise plenty of cash by getting everyone to get some
sponsorship for how many laps they can. Any kit is allowed and it is not
intended to be too serious. Entry forms are available from www.wcws.biz or
from the shop.  Yvonne Alan’s widow has very kindly offered to bring along
all pre entries a freshly baked delicious pasty – Not only can you save a
few quid by entering before thursday 13th July but you get lunch as well!

Come along and join in and together we can raise loads of pennies for Alan’s
nominated charity and have a good time too.

The event has received loads of support from within the windsurf trade in
their offerings of prizes and support. Everyone will get a goody bag with
their entry.
