ISA SPEEDSURFING GRAND PRIX FUERTEVENTURA -DAY 2

ISA Speesurfing Grand Prix Fuerteventura 2006 – Day 2

The second bullet in a row for Finian Maynard (BVI, F2) again in front of Patrik Diethelm (ITA, F2, North) and Bjorn Dunkerbeck.

The conditions were slightly better than yesterday with winds up to 33 knots and choppy conditions, but a perfect angle allowing Finian to closely miss 40 knots (39.96 knots Top Speed).

In the womens fleet Allison Shreeve (AUS, F2) beat Karin Jaggi (SUI, F2, North) and Valerie Ghibaudo (FRA, T1) setting a new Australian record with a speed of  32.85 knots.

Gonzalo Costa Hoevel (ARG, F2) and Spatharis Vangelis (GRE, F2) were both able to better their national records from yesterday, we’ll see if the speeds further increase during the week.

The weather forecast promises good conditions also for the upcoming days which allows for a few more rounds to be completed.
