Tushingham on Top as Alan Jackson wins UKWA Southern Cup in Christchurch

The May Bank Holiday weekend saw a tremendous weekend of Formula racing over three days in Christchurch. After 11 rounds of racing, Tushingham’s latest signing Alan Jackson took the new X-15 race sail to the top podium position, narrowly beating Keith Atkinson to the title. Alan used the new X-15 10.8m in the lighter winds on Saturday and Sunday and the 8.6m in the strong conditions on Monday, all on the Starboard Formula 161.

Derbyshire teenager Richard Jones, back from his wave competition in Ireland, was on fire in the youth fleet showing his true versatility with a consistent string of results – first youth and a highly commendable fifth overall.
