Blowclub is a news and discussion forum covering the Somerset area, although Blowclub will cover all Somerset locations, a particular focus will be on the popular beach of Weston-Super-Mare. As well as the social side there will be a serious one where local authorities will be encouraged to post proposals and announcements which could disrupt or effect our activities, and report any safety concerns or problems related to the wind powered water sports groups.

Now is a busy time for wind powered water sports, with Kiteboarding having that same addictive effect as Windsurfing it looks set to stay busy. With the problems that arose while Kiteboarding was in its development stages, a strong awareness of wind powered sports was brought to the attention of beach management teams on a global scale. With Weston’s long sandy beach and easy access, its an obvious choice for these activities in the Somerset area and has become a popular destination. With more awareness, more risks become apparent, steps are then taken to ensure the safety of all beach users. The decisions that then follow could have an effect on the activities that we live for. The Blowclub website and chat room, is a place where authorities, wind powered sport enthusiasts and other beach users, can become aware of any problems, proposals, changes or legislation that could effect our activities and allows members to, responded, discuss, oppose, help provide solutions and address safety concerns, as well as meet other users and give the Somerset wind loving community an on-line presents.
