Mikey Clancy, one of Ireland’s up and coming windsurfing stars has had a hectic summer this year.

Before jetting off to the Canary Islands for six weeks of training Mikey’s frenetic competition schedule saw him finish in second place at the Fleadh Seoil freestyle event in Malahide, then he secured two sponsorship deals with Turfdog, the makers of the revolutionary Dirt windsurf boards (www.turfdog.co.uk),and with Dunkelvolk a Peruvian based clothing company (www.dunkelvolk.at).
 
Then while in Gran Canaria Mikey competed in the Junior World Cup in Pozo before heading out to Tenerife to train for three more weeks in El Medano. It’s tough at the top…
