KONA GOLD CUP
Yes, the third Kona Gold Cup is coming up, and the host this time is the very experienced Lubecker Yacht Club in Travemunde, Germany.
It has all the makings of a great event – matching the two previous Gold Cups – with lots of competitors, “Kona spirited” social events and high level racing.
On request (from several top contenders) there will also be a team race with the Mahalo. Every country is welcome to bring their own board and appoint their own team. It’s all in the name of “dead serious” fun, and of course it will be awarded with a perpetual trophy of enormous proportions :))
The Kona ranking has grown to be the world’s biggest in record time – (yacht racing included) with close to 800 competitors from 23 nations.
Only 49 days to go, so please spread the word and help make this event the best ever.
On 17 August the world will know who the 2008 male and female Kona champions are, and also what country that will be the first to lift the team trophy.
