Sylvain Demercastel joins RRD Windsurfing Team

Sylvain who? OK, he may not be well-known in the UK, but in France Sylvan is known as a talented French waverider, artist and film-maker. He’s also a pretty mean musician. 

Around 2000, Sylvain was a rock star in France as guitarist and front man for French rock band Artsonic, and today his main job is composing music for TV advertising and commercial projects.  He is a well-known and talented musician and was able to use his name to gain recognition in the French windsurfing media.

He’s also a good friend of team rider Fabrice Beaux, and in 2008 they produced their first successful film project “Planet Blow”. Sylvain and Fabrice are now working together on some serious film projects for 2009, so it sounds like we’ll be hearing a lot more from RRD’s new French connection…
