Team15 is calling all budding young windsurfers to get down to their local clubs this month so they can be a part of the RYA’s Team15 Inter-Club Championship 2009. Whether you are a complete novice or a skilful mover, your club wants you.
RYA Team15 co-ordinator Gillian Wright explains; “The Team15 inter-club championship promises to be even better this year with the introduction of even more clubs to the initiative. There are over 70 Team15 clubs dotted round the country who are crying out for more young windsurfers. Even if you don’t have your own kit you can borrow it from the club and get involved – we look forward seeing lots of new faces at this years events.”
With more and more club’s signing up to be part of Team15, the calendar of inter-club events and competition at them is growing all the time. This season Wales have joined in the fun and will be hosting two inter-club events at Gwent Adventures, Llandegfedd Reservoir, and West Wales Windsurfing, Dale.
The first inter club event kicked off this weekend in the north region at the current North Regional Champions home club, the Pugneys Pirates – Pugneys Country Park, Wakefield.
