Carve Gybe: A clinic with Emile Kott, X-Train, West Wittering (3rd/4th/5th July, on forecast)
Following on from his extremely successful backlooping clinic, Emile Kott (Boards Magazine tester and 2XS team rider) will be running his second clinic of the season.
The Carve Gybe Clinic will be run in the same way that the backlooping clinic was run – on a forecast. The clinic will only happen in conditions that you can actually Carve Gybe in (force 4+ and flat water). If none of these dates gets the conditions needed, we will either add dates or refund you.
Emile will use a mixture of coaching techniques from one-one, group coaching, video coaching and simulation.
The idea of the clinic is to boost your gybing skills. If you haven’t yet got around a gybe or you get around most gybes dry but can’t quite plane out then this course is for you.
The clinic will be run at West Wittering Windsurfing Club where we are sure to find ideal gybing conditions at low tide. (The dates chosen all maximize the low tide time.) WWWC offers free tea and coffee, hot showers and changing rooms to all who are involved in courses.
The minimum standard required for the course is planing comfortably in the footstraps and harness and staying upwind on a sub-150 litre board.
Cost: £120 for a one day course. + optional £35 for equipment from the RRD/Ezzy demo centre.
