"ELKO" HITS THE ROAD WITH THE SAS TOUR".
The SAS/Quiksilver Surfshow Tour hits the road once again in May and will be
carrying some of the UK’s best surfers plus 2x World Masters Champion Gary Elkerton.
The purpose of the Tour is to celebrate everything that is special about our
coast. It also serves as a public awareness exercise to ensure that the quality
of our water environment is maintained and improved. 20 million people use the
coastline of the UK every year and in many areas tourism and leisure play a
key role in the economy and well being of local communities.

This year’s Tour will also be incorporating a Tag team style surf contest at
each venue where local surfers will have the opportunity to surf with and against
Each venue will see the surfers holding Press calls, Expression Sessions, Surf
lessons and educational talks to schools and universities on pollution awareness
and beach safety (Including how to stay safe in the sun thanks to our Co- sponsors
This year’s dates are as follows:
8-9th May – Aberystwyth
10th May – Northumbrian Water’s Bran Sands sewage and sludge Treatment plant.

11-12th May – Aberdeen
13- 14th May – Plymouth
15- 16th May – Perranporth / St Agnes
