Guy Cribb is calling all ‘The Windsurfers Along The South’ (T.W.A.T.S.)
“We have a great windy forecast for the weekend (July 11/12) and Cribby is organising a downwind blast from Sandbanks to Christchurch- AND providing transport to return you back to Sandbanks.
Provisional schedule is-
Meet at Sandbanks main car park (windward end of beach/ far end of car park) Sunday morning.
Enjoy a few of Poole Slalom’s pursuit racing masterblasters *
Eat a load of cake and drink, then blast 10 miles downwind to Christchurch shortly after lunch.
Be greeted by BBQ, beers, product prizes and brave men hugging.
Load up a lorry with all your kit, jump on the coach (the motor coach that is, not Cribby) and be delivered back to Sandbanks to your car.
Simple. And perfect for TWATS- The Windsurfers Along The South.
Pack your mobile phone in a waterproof bag in case there’s a problem, never sail too far from the shore and make the trip as fast or slow as you like. At 15-20 knots average speed, sailing approx 20 miles should take just over an hour (journey is 10 miles as the crow flies) There’s plenty of ice cream stalls along the way, although expect the pro’s to try and complete the trip in less than an hour!”
