Irish Reunion

Young Irish ripper Mikey Clancy has been invited to join the rest of the crew at the Reunion Wave Classic as a last-minute guest.
This is what the RWC crew had to say:

“This Wave Classic is pretty mixed with top names from the waveriding scene and some young rippers that also need to be known. For the top guys, this contest is a great way to combine soulsurfing with an amazing trip, for the others it’s a good opportunity to show their wave skills and get some cool media coverage back as they finally can express themselves on a “competition” where there are no trials and no pressure. And among these discreet rippers like Camille Juban or Robin Goffinet, we are happy to welcome as the last guest of the contest, Irish sailor Mikey Clancy.

“At just 19 years old, this talented waverider was spotted by Thomas in Pozo this year : ‘sure he could charge and rip it up in the local conditions of La Reunion’ he said before inviting him. After only 1 mail, it did not take long for Mikey to find a plane ticket and join the rest of the team, with Colin Sifferlin & Robin Goffinet as last selected riders!

Everything is now set up on the island to welcome the riders that will arrive on the 4th there, starting at 6pm with the opening ceremony at the “Longboard Café” in St Pierre, where the 4 teams of 4 riders will then be drawn lots by the 4 locals. Here’s the last entry list :
