The 2009 Harbour Dash is to run on the 20th September. All competent windsurfers are invited to partake. This Weymouth event has been running now for 23years…..and the 18min 35secs record set in 1994 by Adrian Bugler still stands…. you may be the one to beat it!
Paul, the Café and car park owner, has very kindly waived the requirement to purchase a windsurfing day permit for participants of the Harbour Dash. Normal car parking charges still apply, but these tickets also include a voucher to use in the Café. Free parking on the nearby roads is also an option.
It is planned to have some warm up blasting, from the beach to check gear set up.
For safety reasons there will be a registration list for the Harbour Dash, so please be at Overcombe Beach, Weymouth by 10:30. It is hoped to have limited rescue assistance, but all competitors are asked to take a mobile phone and a length of rope.
