Call rates to RYA drop

The RYA’s (Royal Yachting Association) drive to improve and modernise its
services took another step forward with the introduction of a new 0845
local call rate number. The new number 0845 3450400 connects callers to
the main switchboard. This will be followed up in the near future with
dedicated new local rate numbers for other key services.

The RYA receives more than 30,000 incoming calls every month, which is
nearly 1,000 calls every day. Rod Carr, RYA Chief Executive commented, ”A
simple code change will be beneficial to thousands of people involved in
our successful association”
