WHITE AIR 2002
White Air will be a week of non-stop action on and off the water with the best
UK Windsurfers plus Internationals competing for their titles and cash prize
funds.
Overall the festival will comprise of some 300 competitors across six major
competitions in the various sports. The standard is always extremely high and
past ‘White Air’ events have seen some of the best competitors in the world
including Windsurfers such as Nik Baker, and Francisco Goya, and Kitesurfers
Mark Shinn and Sebastian Catalan.
This final round will also produce the 2002 Racing Champions and the Triple
Crown Wavesailing Champions (plus kitesurfing and UKSA youth week champions,
mountain boarding and trails riding) who will be crowned at the official end-of
season party Saturday night.
Yaverland is a superb arena with a large car park and all facilities on site,
including a club with free hot showers for all the competitors, plus café
and club bar.
There is live music every night and some 500 people will be at the renowned
end of season party, with Djs and live bands. Non-competitors are always welcome
and if you require tickets then you will be able to pick them up on-site during
the event.

UKSA Kitesurfing and Windsurfing Youth Week sponsored by F2/Arrows/Wipika
Dates; 19th-22nd October
For the 6th year now the UKSA Youth week has been the most prestigious week
of training under 19yrs old who wish to progress in their sports.
The UKSA is the worlds leading watersports establishment with a multi million
pound set-up on the IOW.
Danny Seales, Ben Hambury and Kirsty Jones, and the UKSA’s Jeremy Waite, alongside
other top Kitesurfing and Windsurfing pros and specialised trainers are on hand
to provide guidance from intermediate to experienced levels. A fun competition
finishes of the week with some superb prizes. The four days include ferry travel
compliments of Wightlink, pick up to and from the ferry, all UKSA accommodation
(4 nights), all travel to and from the beach, all food (includes packed lunch
each day), lectures and video shows, party/prize night with live bands, prizes.
F2, Arrows and Wipika are on hand with a van load of the latest gear free for
everyone to try and to even use for the contest if they wish. A superb opportunity
to mix all the other youths with the same interests.

Red Bull ‘Whiz of White’

Dates; 27th-30th October (29/30 are optional dates)
Again for the 3rd year as White Air draws to a close the Whiz of White kicks
into action with 12 of the top stars from the Kitesurfing and Windsurfing circuit.
Moving around the IOW beaches all 12 invitationals will compete head to head
in both disciplines to give an overall ‘waterman’ champion for 2002.
