Sailing centre seeks virgins!

Sailing centre seeks virgins!

Wildwind Sailing Holidays, Europe¹s largest catamaran and mono-hull sailing
centre, is looking for new sailors in an initiative to kick start the 2001 season
at home and abroad. New sailors are being offered introductions to sailing and
windsurfing at the price of a non-activity holiday. They will also be given
a free "Sailing Starter Pack" to take home that contains a Gul Garda
buoyancy aid, RYA membership leaflet and an invite to their local sailing club.

Simon Morgan, Wildwind founder, former UK and current Greek Hobie 16 Champion,
sums up the initiative: "There¹s never been a better time to get into
sailing and windsurfing. I think everyone in the industry would agree that once
people are hooked, its much easier to keep them in the sport. Our aim is to
introduce people to sailing and windsurfing in ideal conditions
here in Vassiliki, then ensure everybody leaves knowing where they can sail
at home."

Any budding windsurfers are spoilt for choice, with 300 new boards and over
350 new sails all ready to go on the beach. The Vassiliki conditions are well
known for the strong wind afternoons, but the ideal teaching conditions in the
mornings are often overlooked.

The sailing fleet has over 30 new Hobie catamarans, and an extensive range
of mono-hulls from Laser 1¹s to the 5000 and the Olympic favourite the
49er. Sailors of all abilities find something perfect for their level and something
to work towards. The mix of Vassiliki¹s conditions and the Wildwind atmosphere
means that tuition is hands-on sailing with world class sailors. The skill of
the staff is challenging students without scaring them, and "joyriding"on
performance craft such as the Hobie Tiger become a
highlight of the holiday.

Current sailors are not left out of the promotion: experienced windsurfers
will be allowed to upgrade to the "Free as the Wind" programme, which
will enable them to try the sailing for free.

The offer is open from the beginning of the season May 13 until
June 3rd. Places are limited, and those interested should call the booking office
01920 484516, or order a brochure on our website.
