Bank Holiday Windsurfing – What, Where and Why

The good old British August bank holiday is almost upon us and, fingers crossed, it should provide us all with a good chance to hit the water. But how will you be spending it? Here’s a few ideas from around the Boards office…

Get a loved one on the water. Especially if the sun is shining this long weekend should be the perfect chance to finally get a family member or friend out windsurfing.

Take a trip to somewhere new. Want to combine windsurfing with a weekend away that will keep others happy to? Why not spread your wings and head across to somewhere you haven’t been before (like Colwyn Bay – check the link above) for a weekend of windsurfing and you could even stop off at the brand new (and hopefully reopened for the weekend) Snowdonia Wave Garden!

Head to an event. This weekend the UKWA will be racing in Pwllheli, if you’ve ever fancied it this could be the weekend to give it a go. Or, if not this weekend why not hit the race course with the masses the following weekend at the National Watersports Festival?

Feeling lazy? Sometimes, that’s ok. If you’re using this weekend to relax and unwind at home make sure you make the most of that sofa time.
