Bryony Shaw has kicked off her year with 1st place in the RS:X World Rankings.
An impressive start to 2012 for the UK’s best hope in the female RS:X Class at the forthcoming UK Olympic Games.
With this in mind, and 3 months in Spain to practice for the forthcoming Games, it looks like there is only one thing on her mind…
“It is really nice timing to have jumped into the top ranking spot going into 2012. It shows my consistency at the front of the fleet
over the last two years, and my progression in Weymouth especially. I am really happy with my board speed which has found a new gear recently, after a great trip to Australia. The rest of the winter I am doing training camps in Cadiz, Spain, which is also our venue for the 2012 World Champiionships end of March. Training here with my two British training parteners, Izzy Hamilton and Claudia Carney is a fantastic set up. And with our full time coach Dom Tidey I have a great team around me. I am really looking forward to reaching my full potential this season, and of course i hope to peak at the Olympics!” Bryony Shaw.
