Mikey Clancy scores some awesome conditions in Dollymount and tells us more about what’s going on in Ireland in 2013…
“In Dublin’s Fair City where the girls are so pretty” are the first lines of the famous old song about Molly Malone a Dublin fishmonger and the song most associated with Ireland’s Capital City Dublin.
Even though Ireland’s West Coast may be one of the World’s best locations for windsurfing, Molly Malone’s city and Ireland’s capital, also offers excellent conditions from flat water to bump and jump as well as down the line.
This week a host of windsurfers caught a rare glimpse of perfect conditions at Dollymount beach with 4-7 cross-off, down-the-line waves in bright sunshine.
With a population of just over a million the city hosts a huge range of water sports in the Bay throughout the year. This week’s magical city session was captured by some great video screen grabs of PWA pro Mikey Clancy busting out some great moves at the city location.
Ireland is hosting “The Gathering” in 2013 a welcome venture to visit the Country and experience all things Irish. Make sure to take in some windsurfing sessions on the west coast and the odd pint of the Black Stuff with a couple of days in Dublin’s Fair City where you might even meet Molly Malone.
