One of the biggest RS:X events since it was confirmed that windsurfing will have a spot in the Rio Games kicks off today, in Miami. The best sailors from around the world have gathered on American shores to do battle, from the UK silver medalist Nick Dempsey is competing along with training partner El Carney and in the women’s fleet Bryony Shaw and Izzy Hamilton are both taking to the water.

Men’s gold medalist from London 2012 Dorian van Rijssbelberghe
and his training partner Canadian Zachary Plavsic.
Women’s gold medalist from London 2012 Marina Alabau Neira
and fellow spanish racer BLANCA MANCHON DOMINGUEZ .
Plus silver medalist Tuuli Petaja-Sirén .
All have been out in Miami for a few days now, and seem to be enjoying the sunshine and sailing with manatees!
