Pre-Olympic Kit Bonanza – 7/8th July
Just before we hand the keys of the centre over to LOCOG for the Games, we are going to have a bit of a get together and shindig over the weekend of the 7th/8th July. Visitors will be able to test kit for free, enrol for £10 tasters, partake in some fun races and bring their own bangers for a BYO BBQ on Saturday. On the Sunday we will host a Car Boot Sale for windsurfing kit. Bring down that board, sail, mast or boom that is surplus to requirements and make some cash!
The event will be capped off by the arrival of a replica Olympic torch from the 1948 Games, which has been in relay amongst the various sailing clubs from Torquay, to end up in residence at the venue of this year’s sailing classes. Come along to welcome it in – some of our young Dorset School Games Champions will no doubt be involved!

This is great news for you as we must sell on most of our stock that is either new or hardly used at bargain prices – EVERYTHING MUST GO!!
We have a huge stock of all windsurf and SUP equipment, as well as accessories, wetsuits etc. to clear.
Patric boards will also be launching their new production range to be showcased in the UK, now available to test at Puravida South Wales during July and August!
Saturday 7th – 10am onwards, All day free demo’s to try any of our kit whatsoever! You can book taster sessions and tuition for only £10 on the day so why not bring a friend and get them to try windsurfing?? We plan to run some fun slalom racing and finish up with a BBQ and a few beers…..SALE all day
Sunday 8th – 10am onwards, The 1948 Olympic Torch will land at our venue and the Olympic BOOTSALE begins! Bring your old kit to sell on and make us offers on any of ours all day!
There is plenty of parking near by at the council car park on your way across to Portland, and campsites/caravan parks near by in and around weymouth.
It looks like we have a great forecast for some sailing and kit testing in the bay on both days, so please help us to spread the word and hope to see you there!!
