Massive congratulations to Phil Horrocks who takes the 2014 BWA Pro title!
Words from the man himself (via Facebook!)
“British Wave Sailing Champion 2014!!! Yeeeees!!
Another year of tough competition over and Cornwall once again has been kind to me!
Side shore 4.7 and head high waves was pretty fun to compete in, it’s never perfect conditions but I really enjoyed the day, my gear was working great, the Gaastra manic 5.0 and Pocket 78 proving to be a potent combo..
Great to finish the year with a win against some tough contenders.. It went down to the wire and any one of us could have won it at the last event.
Well done to Ben Proffitt for 2nd and Adam Lewis on 3rd, David Horrocks showing he’s got talent in 4th too, sneaking ahead of Andy ‘Bubble’ Chambers on the final day. Good sailing bru!!
Big up to all my sponsors for making it happen:
Gaastra sails
Tabou boards
TheMailingRoom
Chinook
Now everyone packs up and heads off to the sunshine for some winter training ready for the BWA series in 2015!
See you all there!”
More to come about the pro fleet and all the other divisions very soon.
