Today marks the beginning of Sarah Hebert’s Transatlantic Windsurf journey…
French sailor Sarah Hebert will today set off from Dakar, aiming to cross the Atlantic and land in the Caribbean. As the first female to windsurf across the Atlantic this is a truly amazing endeavour and Sarah has the windsurfing world rooting for her.
In 2006 Sarah was diagnosed with an irregular heart rythym and had a defibrilator surgically implanted. Not one to let this slow her down, Sarah went on to great success months later as she became European Formula champion for 2006. Nowadays in the European and PWA slalom tours she is one of the top racers and familiar with podium finishes.
