Great news from Dublin’s most famous store, as Colin Harris takes up the reins…
After our dad, Alan, passed away, myself and my sister, Kyra, had to face many difficult decisions, one of them being how to keep Surfdock going. In the end we decided that I would come back and work in the shop.
Many of you I already know, but to some it will be a strange face behind the counter.
Over the coming months I look forward to getting to know you all, and to keep honouring the spirit of what Surfdock is all about; getting people out having fun, both on and in the water.
What’s new in May?
Surfdock Windsurfing School reopening 29th May 2010…
What we are really excited about this month is the reopening of the Surfdock Windsurfing School in the Grand Canal Dockyard. This is where I uphauled my first junior rig 19 years ago, and has been the introduction to our great sport for many since. After a long, cold and often windless winter the centre season kicks off in the first week of June, so to celebrate the start of our summer water activities, we are having a BBQ and fun day on Saturday 29th May starting from 11 am.
To mark this special day we are offering the chance to come down and try any of our activities absolutely free!
So if you have always wanted to try windsurfing, kayaking or a spot of SUP, now is your chance. Activities are available to try all day, and the BBQ starts at 5pm. Of course, the shop will still be open throughout the day.
We will also be holding a charity raffle in aid of Aware with many great prizes to win!!
Windsurfing courses, Kids Summer Camps and Corporate/Party Nights…
We kick off our courses in the first week of June with the Kids Summer Camps that will be running all through the summer. It’s a week of fun-filled action in safe surroundings.
