The UK and Ireland has a whole host of up and coming talented riders, one of which is Ireland’s Finn Mellon. Here we catch up with Finn about his plans for 2015 and check out his newest video…

“This video was filmed over about a month, The conditions in the film were mainly windy cross-off, down-the-line sailing which is what we here in Brandon Bay get the most.

“This winter was a good winter for me ! I didn’t have a very serious year in school so I had plenty of time on the water at home, I did lots of surfing and windsurfing, I have improved my Wave Riding and jumping a lot since last year. This was helped by the fact I went to South Africa for a month this winter. It really was a amazing experience ! I got plenty of windsurfing in Cape Town as well as epic surf in Elands and J-Bay !

“My plan for this year is pretty much to improve and push my sailing I also hope to continue winning competitions ! I hoping to improve my sailing this summer, As I am spending 3 weeks in Tenerife, I look forward to sailing Tim Van Dam,Julian Salmonn and Noah Vocker and I hope we can all push each other’s sailing. I am hoping to improve my onshore sailing and improve my jumping. I will also be competing in the PWA Youths event, This is my second year in a row doing this, I would like to try and improve on my result of 6th place last year.
