As we mentioned in the first Editor’s round-up of the week we’re introducing a few new things to Boards.co.uk and this ‘Heads-Up’ feature is one of those. We’ll be in regular contact with windsurfers around the country to find out where is firing and when. We hope this’ll mean you get a little bit more info about where to sail in your area or even somewhere new and further afield to try out.

Further update:
Sunday is now starting to look promising for some lightish wind from southerly direction but forecast is for a dry and sunny day so this might make it more appealing.
The swell is still from the SW direction so I wouldn’t expect Gwithian to get much more than 1 to 2 feet.
Worth looking around for the more exposed beaches like perran sands, watergate and Contantine if you want to find some wave riding.
Longrock could provide a bit of bump and jump onshore blasting as well as Par beach at lower tides.
Daymer probably will have some flat blasting / freestyle conditions too but be careful with the tide going with the wind throughout most of the day.
Gylly beach in Falmouth can also be fun bump n jump in a S or SSW wind.
Next week looking really changeable at mo with thurs and frid looking possible for some decent (+25mph) wind forecast from the west

Friday afternoon/evening looks like there might be an onshore swinging more sideshore option for Marazion. Low tide around 15:00 with a strengthening SSW wind going SW to WSW throughout the afternoon/evening.
No real swell around to make it worth looking at the North coast spots.
Other spots like Par Beach could give similar conditions to Marazion. Hopefully a small bit of wind swell might provide few small ramps for jumping. Not classic but probably worth it if you’ve been locked in an office all week.
Saturday morning /lunchtime possible wind from SW going more Westerly later.
Still no real swell for Gwithian as what there is will be too southerly direction to get into the bay.
Main beaches like Fistral/Watergate/Perran Sands will prob have mushy onshore wave, but expect hoards of surfers!
Phil Horrocks – North Wales
You might not believe it after the windless contest a couple of weekends ago but we’ve had three or four days sailing already, and it looks like the next weeks gonna be windy too!
It’s hard to look past Rhosneigr up this way; it is usually windier and better there than most other spots so it’s kind of a no brainer for sailing. If it’s showing gusts of around 25 knots then that’s pretty much 4.5 weather and it starts to kick up a few waves too around that.
Tue, Wed, Thursday look the prime days though, with wind and swell growing throughout…but it’s British weather, so it will undoubtedly change!
I could be drawn down to Mid-Wales if Thursday’s forecast holds up though, Alfie’s always banging on about it, but it needs a reasonable forecast I think, and thursday looks like it may deliver it?
