SURFERS’ AGAINST SEWAGE ANNUAL RAFFLE 2006

SURFERS AGAINST SEWAGE ANNUAL RAFFLE 2006

TICKETS ARE NOW ON SALE FOR THE ANNUAL SURFERS AGAINST SEWAGE RAFFLE

Spend just £1 on an SAS raffle ticket and you could be a winner of a
fantastic £1000 in cash, a surfing holiday for two in Northern Spain, dinner
at Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant, Pro Surf Coaching with former British
champion Sam Lamiroy, a day’s professional photo shoot courtesy of
Wavelength Magazine photographer or many more prizes; and what’s more, 83p
will go to funding Surfers Against Sewages campaign for clean, safe
recreational water.

Surfers Against Sewage are a not for profit organisation based in St Agnes
and the annual raffle is the organisation’s second biggest annual
fundraiser, after the popular SAS Summer Ball.  Last years raffle raised a
whopping £10,000 and this year it is hoped that enough money will be raised
to fund a ‘Mean Green Education Machine’ – a vehicle running on ‘green’
fuel, which could tour schools and clubs across the country educating
children about water pollution issues.

This years raffle is thought to be the best yet, with fifteen fantastic
prizes all donated by supportive companies including Errant Surf;
Watersplash Beach Bar, Jersery; Wavelength Magazine, Motherocean Surfboards,
Cyclelogic, Truro; Bedruthan Steps Hotel, Mawgan Porth; O’Neill; Low
Pressure; Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen Cornwall, Watergate Bay; Vintage Roots;
Indoboard; Stikup; Ecover.

Tickets are on sale now for £1 each at the SAS Office, Wheal Kitty
Workshops, St Agnes and online at http://www.sas.org.uk/events/raffle_2006.asp

You can also buy tickets from a number of other supportive venues including Ottakers Bookshop and Wipeout Surf Shop, both in Truro and Big Wednesday Surf Shop, Falmouth.
