“Here you can see the finishing box and the vehicle with all the timing equipment. To get back upwind we go on a pick-up truck with a trailer. Usually with 20 or so competitors, you could expect to get roughly three runs an hour, but last year it was over-subscribed with more than 30 people and some days you were lucky to get three runs in two hours. The finish is much better than it was in 2012. There is more room to stop and you really don’t need to lay down as much as this to stop. You can almost let it run now; however, I think Antoine and those doing the lay down at the end of the run do it as a way to de-power in a controlled way and as a result I think their stop is a bit more controlled.”
