SARAH’S PWA QUIVER:
The gear I have for Pozo is a 3.4 Simmer Icon, and 3.7, 4.2 and 4.7 Simmer Halo’s and I am also borrowing a 3m Simmer Mission (which I have used quite a lot already!) My board is the 69l Simmer Flywave, a little big for here if it’s windy!
I have mostly sailed on a 3.4 or 3m sail here, and the forecast is looking pretty windy, so I suspect I’ll be on a 3.4 sail with my 69l board.
I am using NoLimitz masts which work really well in Simmer sails and are nice and tough, in 340 and 370.
In my 69l I use the K4 Sharks or Ezzy’s in the front size 8cm and K4 stubbies or flexi’s in the back, size 14cm.
Known for:
My signature move? This is pretty difficult as I don’t have many!! I am aiming for a clean forward and a table top for my jumps, and hopefully some nice hits for the wave riding. I think this will really depend on the conditions, if I am overpowered everything is a lot more difficult!
Big hits. Sarah doesn’t hold back, at all! After spending the last couple of months windsurfing around the world Sarah’s level has sky rocketed.
Expectations:
As Sarah takes on her first PWA event for a couple of years in one of the hardest locations it sounds like she’s hoping to just sail her very best in what could be very hardcore conditions. After seeing her sail recently we know Sarah can do very well in the large women’s fleet, Sarah has the skills and talent she needs, it’s just a case of keeping it together and not going too much for broke, especially in the early heats!
