UK Champion Keith Atkinson gets BBC Sportsman Nomination
The BBC has nominated the UK Formula Windsurfing Champion Keith Atkinson for the BBC South East sports awards. The ceremony is to be held on the 4th December at the Hilton Hotel in Brighton and will be filmed for Broadcast on BBC South East and Southern counties radio and also televised on the BBC South East news.
The BBC has recognised Keith Atkinson’s outstanding achievements this year in both the UK and abroad.
Keith made his mark in numerous prestigious international competitions by taking some top results, finishing second in the French National Championships, then beating the world’s best windsurfers to win the Swiss Euro Cup event at Lake Silvaplana. Keith then returned to England to race in the last of the British Championship series to take the overall UK Championship title.
